Down Piluwa Khola Small
Hydropower Project is in Sankhuwasava district of Koshi Zone in Eastern
Development Region. The project taps the water from the tailrace of project
upstream of the settling basin in addition to the diverted flow from Piluwa
Khola. The project site has an installed
capacity of generating 10.3 MW power.
Main Components:
Diversion weir, Intakegravel trap, connecting
canal, desander, Collection Pit, head-race canal, forebay tank, headrace pipe,
surge tank, penstock pipe, powerhouse, tailrace, switch yard, 33kV transmission
line and interconnection facilities required for power evacuation of the project.
Major Jobs:
Ø Feasibility Study Report (upgrading the
capacity of the project from 9.5 MW to 10.3 MW)

Ø Design Optimization and upgradation of the
power.
